It is made of three-dimensional, polyester mesh. Patented in more than 50 countries, the unique construction of the Mobi-Mat® Mobility Matting enables it to be used by commercial and military organizations as efficient and rapidly deployed roll-out temporary roadways, helipads, parking areas and shelter flooring.
Mobi-Mat® Tow-Mat is a narrow, heavy duty, polyester roll-out mat system, reinforced with fiberglass or carbon composite rods to spread the load of any heavy vehicle or aircraft landing gear on soft ground.
For Aircraft Recovery operations, the Mobi-Mat® Tow-Mat can be used to build towing surfaces and pathways. By reinforcing the ground, Mobi-Mat® Tow-Mat allows quick towing of the disabled aircraft while preventing secondary damage. Indeed, its unique, excellent grip decreases traction efforts while limiting the pulling force required on the landing gear to pull the aircraft out of the rut. Unlike metal plates, the porosity of the Mobi-Mat® Tow-Mats’ polyester rolls allow them to be easily retrieved from sticky mud and the towing pathway reconfigured as necessary.
The Mobi-Mat® Tow-Mat comes in rolls of various sizes to accommodate existing footprints and landing gears. Its main assets are not only its amazing load bearing capacity, but also its ease of installation. Its buoyancy and handy accessories allow rapid and easy transportation, installation, repositioning and removal of the mats.
Mobi-Mat® Quick-Access is a heavy duty, polyester roll-out mat system reinforced with composite rods. The Quick-Access Mat is designed to accommodate heavy traffic load on low bearing terrains. This ground reinforcement matting is probably the most rapid and efficient way to build a temporary roadway and allow fire trucks and emergency vehicles immediate access to the incident or scene of an Aircraft Recovery.
The Quick-Access Mat is currently in use in several airports worldwide, as well as several Armies around the globe for temporary roadway construction. The US Marine Corps use the Mobi-Mat® Quick-Access extensively for beach landing operations worldwide.
The Quick-Access Mat can be linked up to an automated dispenser for even quicker and easier operations.
DARC range includes various heavy-duty lifting airbags to lift a disabled aircraft and ensure the best efficiency and safety during recovery operations. Lifting disabled aircraft with airbags is often the safest, quickest and most convenient way to raise the aircraft and clear the runway expeditiously.
The DARC range includes 15T (1800 & 3000), 25T (2400 & 3000) 30 T (2400 & 3000) and 40T airbags to fit most of today’s aircraft. A new 60T bag is being developed to lift new large Aircraft including A380s.
To provide the best safety level on the market, Deschamps uses the Hot Vulcanization Process to manufacture its DARCs. This process avoids the use of glue and guarantees a very high mechanical resistance. The working pressure of these low pressure bags is 7 psi, while the bursting pressure of our bags has been recorded at 85 psi. This is more than two times higher than usual bags.
The DARC Airbag kit includes all necessary equipment to operate the bags (hoses, manifolds, repair kits …). Compressors or additional equipment can be delivered upon demand.
DARC Base is a unique concept on the market of inflatable cribbing. This system enables fast and easy lifting of a wide-body aircraft in adverse conditions. Wide-bodies usually have a higher clearance than regular planes. This requires the use of a cribbing to increase the lifting height of regular airbags, usually reaching 3 m height. During the installation, the regular bags can be placed on the flat and deflated base, which eliminates the need for the use of a forklift to stake the bags on top of the cribbing. When the bags are being inflated, it is still possible to drag the DARC Base back and forth to place it under the exact desired location.
When forklifts are normally required to carry bulky and heavy wooden beams, the DARC Base eliminates the need of handling material since it can easily be carried and stored by hand. As to safety, the DARC Base is far safer than regular cribbing since it prevents the bags from being punctured by broken beams. Moreover, the DARC Base guarantees optimum stability

Moreover DARC are maintenance free, as they can be kept at room temperature. The glued product needs to be stored in a specific warehouse with a regulated temperature. Finally, the working pressure of these low pressure bags is 7 psi, while the bursting pressure of our bags has been recorded at 85 psi. This is more than two times higher than usual bags.
In recovery, time is MONEY, especially when you have to defuel 300,000 litres of kerosene very quickly. With the Deschamps Defueling Rubber Tank (DDRT), recovery operations can start while contaminated fuel is safety stored away from the aircraft.
Made of heavy duty rubber and vulcanized, the DDRT is rapidly installed and allows quick defueling of the aircraft. Airports often do not have the necessary resources to defuel and store a large amount of contaminated fuel.
For safety reasons, the rubber tanks are equipped with a bund liner. In the case of the A 380, two 150-cbm rubber tanks are recommended.
In use for 30 years in military applications, our collapsible rubber tanks are safe and easy to install. DDRT are available with a capacity from 1 cbm up to 300 cbm, Finally, they are provided with all necessary accessories such as pumps, hoses etc...
All accessories and equipment that relate to the aircraft recovery operation, such as:
Tethering equipment that is made to stabilize the aircraft such as anchor plates, cables, tirfor, etc.
Straps, cables and pulleys allow safe towing of the aircraft back to the runway. Load cells are given information about occurred strength on different gears.
Deschamps has innovated lifting and balancing pulleys by the use of spreader bars. This concept allows, through assistance of flat straps, equal pressure on the aircraft skin and gives more stability. Spreader bars are available up to A-380 usage.
A Mobi-Dispenser® is a mobile, mechanical dispenser designed to unroll and stock-and-roll back sections of Mobility Mattings. The Dispenser is either trailer-mounted, flat-rack-mounted or vehicle-mounted. They allow the quick transportation, installation and recovery of heavy duty temporary roadways or parking areas. The Mobi-Dispenser®, together with the Mobi-Mattings, is called Mobi-Solutions® by Deschamps.
Deschamps’ Mobi-Solutions® facilitate movement and support of friendly forces, allowing them to go and deploy wherever they choose.
